Hi there, I have a Aspire 5680 laptop, and i am monitoring my core temperature with SpeedFan cos it swithed off by itself.
I'd like to know if having a stable 53°C Core is ok or not. The temperature grows little by little starting from 47°C to 53°C, and does not changes anymore.

What do u suggest?
What is the normal temperature?

It should not be a problem, as there are existing dual-hard-drive laptop designs on the market. The heat output of the hard drive is influenced mainly by its platters' rotational speed.

If the drives run at 5400rpm and are ventilated similarly to existing drives, heat will not be a big problem (except when going full load back in Malaysian weather, perhaps).

I do not foresee a problem for a 17-inch design (which is the smallest that could hold 2 HDDs feasibly anyway)
