Just bought one of these this afternoon here in Toronto, Ontario. Came to $315 CAD. Definitely a step up from my 19″!

Got 2 pieces replace my 3 x 17″ BenQ, love it.
Brightness is great, contrast ratio very reasonable level. I could have choice either use DVI-D or VGA. My new AMD motherboard came nVidia dual but only allow one vga and one dvi-d. I could therefore inter switchable.

I Remember paid more a few years back for crappy BenQ FP767 plus I’ve to use 2 video card to activate 3 monitors just to get what I want my pc do. Now I could get the same viewing estate without even require extra video card.

I hope Acer could come out lower or cheaper High Definition 24″ or so at the same price in future. I would definitely go for it again.

Dave i have an Acer Al2216w and it doesn’t have a DVI input … but that’s not my problem …
the problem is that when i set it to a lower resolution than 1680 x 1050 some of the characters are blurry
is this normal?

last but not least :
how do i clean the surface of the tft
i’m affraid i can scratch it

For the record, this monitor *DOES* have a DVI input.

I have a 22″ acer since two weeks now. The upgrade for me from 17-19″ crt in space is very pleasant. The display seems about just big enough for my vision without having to turn my head, though I wouldn’t mind a 30″..

It does suffer some ghosting and I’ll probably try to get another model..I probably got a lemon. Anyway, the size and overall performance is okay.

I bought it for € 430.
