Acer AL2423W – 24-inch Office Line LCD Screen – Unveiled
Also part of Acer’s recent launch of three large LCD screens is the Acer AL2423W – a 24″ Office Line LCD monitor with integrated speakers.
It comes with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA), a 6 ms grey-to-grey response time, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio, along with analogue D-sub and DVI-D inputs. So, specs-wise, like its little bro we featured earlier, it’s very respectable.
But unlike its the 22″ AL2216W, the Acer AL2423W seems to have been launched in some parts of Europe already (unless there happens to be an older and similar model I’m not aware of). As such, we do have some price estimates – €972 (~US$1218) from guenstiger.de and €1035.58 (~US$1,298) from BUILT Direkt for the titanium silver version (both should be inclusive of German sales tax).
This makes the AL2423W around €100 more than its predecessor, the AL2416Ws, though you are looking at an extra DVI-D input and integrated speakers. Moreover, those stateside can surely expect better prices.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to say that this 24-incher comes in two colours – titanium silver and black.
