- While the Acer Aspire 5672WLMi was only recently lauched in certain Asian markets such as Brunei, the dual-core notebook has already been available in the US for quite a while. Long enough at least for a review of the notebook to surface, and this time, it’s by NotebookReview.com.
Overall, the Aspire 5672WLMi gets a favourable review, with NotebookReview.com concluding that, “I have to say I am very impressed with the performance of the Acer 5670 with its Core Duo processor. The performance boost from the dual core is anywhere from negligible to a full twofold increase, something that does not come often in the computing world. Acer puts together a nice notebook that’s full of features and a pleasure to use thanks to a crisp screen and full connectivity. I would have liked to see a slightly sturdier build, but that is usual for me. The only big negative is the battery life. I’ve come to expect at least three hours from modern notebooks, and 4-5 is always a big plus. Running for only just over two hours under most use, the 5670 falls somewhat short. If performance is most important, however, shorter battery life is a small compromise. As a powerful desktop replacement with significant portability, the Acer 5670 excels wonderfully.”

PC Authority’s review of the Acer Aspire 5672WLMi comes right after the one published by NotebookReview.com less than a month ago. But no matter the lag in time, this review by PC Authority is as favourable to Acer as NotebookReview.com’s was.
An overall rating of Very Good (5/6) was assigned to the 5672WLMi, with a couple of conclusions:
Battery life was modest, varying from one-and-a half hours to two hours 22 minutes in our intensive use and light use tests respectively. Its 3kg weight also slightly limits portability. But all in all, it’s an attractive system and great value at $2532. However, it only just nudged ahead on the Samsung due to its screen, so check out the R65 before you buy.
What it lacks in 3D performance it more than makes up in features, power and downright value.
Common among both reviews is praise for the superb performance and robust feature set, but some apprehension over the relatively short battery life and weight.

It’s been a really slow week, with barely any interesting Acer-related news. So, here’s yet another review of the Acer Aspire 5672WLMi to tide all of us by.
The review itself is a short one, so we’ll skip right to the verdict: ” Now that I’ve got the ugly parts of the notebook off my chest, I’ll come back to why this notebook is noteworthy. The battery life is commendable as it can last at least three hours after a full charge. Plus, the built-in Acer energy manager tool comes in handy in maximising the battery life. And so, despite the brash sound and the appalling webcam, the overall performance of the notebook makes it a good companion for work and play. ”
Surprisingly, this reviewer commended the 5672WLMi’s battery life, unlike the previous two reviewers which criticised it (though different performance settings could have led to differing battery life measurements). Other than that, the three reviewers gave mostly similiar conclusions.
