Aiks, I thought I combed notebookreview.com and notebookforums.com already.

Thanks a lot for the info. Will edit the post ASAP.

~~But from the pics of the Ferarri 1000, the styling looks similar to the F5000 to me, but then, TrustedReviews only has a front-side view. How is the styling very different?~~ Oops, I’m starting to see the differences. Need more sleep…

You state “We currently have no idea whether the picture attached to Acer’s news release is for the F5000 or F1000, but we’ll presume both look about the same - just different in size.”

The picture you show is the Acer Ferrari 5000, which is closely based on the TravelMate 8204WLMi. The Acer Ferrari 1000 has very different styling.
