Acer n310 Windows Mobile Pocket PC

Acer Germany has “inadvertently” revealed the anticipated Acer n310 Windows Mobile Pocket PC on its own website. We are talking about a Acer handheld powered by a 300MHz ARM CPU and the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC OS, with a 3.7″ VGA display plus the almost standard WiFi and Bluetooth.

A SDIO slot is provided for memory card extension and it is nice to see a 1200 mAH Lithium-Ion battery (up to 8 hours battery life).

Acer Windows Mobile-based PDA Phones

Digitimes reports that “Acer plans to venture into the PDA phone market in the second half of 2006, with its smart handheld devices built with CPUs and flash memory chips from Samsung Electronics and running on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system…”

Ferrari PDAs Launch Temporarily Withheld

Digitimes reports that “Acer’s planned launch of the Ferrari edition of its n50 PDA has been temporarily withheld due to a licensing problem between the brand vendor and the Scuderia Ferrari team…” and that “No timetable has been fixed for the Ferrari PDA launch…”.
