Acer in Top Tech Gadgets for Increasing Productivity

Sunday, January 1st, 2006

Just noticed recently that About.com’s Small Business: Canada section lists two Acer gadgets in their Top 9 Tech Gadgets For Increasing Productivity.

At No. 5 comes the Acer AL1912B Black 19″ LCD Monitor, while at No. 8 comes the Acer TravelMate C302XCi Tablet PC.

Read more at About.com.

P.S. I really do not think the list is in any order or ranking. Besides, how can a LCD monitor outrank a Tablet PC?

Acer TravelMate C312XCi Tablet PC

Techworld.com writes a short review on the Acer TravelMate C312XMi Tablet PC. Their verdict is that “We’re not convinced that the tablet PC is going to catch on in a big way, no matter how many times it gets a makeover, but Acer’s offering compares favourably with most. It has plenty of good features, even if the price tag is a touch on the high side. Well done, Acer.”

Acer TravelMate C312XCi Tablet PC

TrustedReviews reviews the Acer TravelMate C312XMi Tablet PC. Their bottom line is that “The Acer TravelMate C312XMi is a decent laptop that offers the advantage of being a tablet PC, but at a price premium. However, for a Tablet PC it’s on the heavy side and the screen resolution is a generation behind.”

Acer TravelMate C314XMi Review

Acer TravelMate C314XMi Tablet PC

TabletPCReviewSpot reviews the Acer TravelMate C314XMi Tablet PC. They conclude that “The Acer C314 is an excellent full-featured Tablet PC that is powerful enough to function as a desktop replacement. The generous 1024MB of RAM, 100GB hard drive, Built-in Bluetooth and fast 2.0GHz processor are a good value for the price. This machine is great for students or consumers who want a Tablet to be their “only” PC. Although there is value in the features that are included, it is obvious that Acer has cut back in their technical support. I would not recommend this model to any first-time computer user who might need to talk to a reliable tech support representative without having to wait for 20 minutes on hold.”
